Okra is about 4 feet tall now and producing in high volume. Doing well with the bell peppers and jalapeños with lunch box peppers still needing a while longer. Green beans liked the cool weather we had for a few days and are still setting on. Still have plenty of beets and carrots. Cucumbers are rockin' and rollin'. Our little tomatoes are going in the ground next week and will be ready late September. Still plenty of onions, garlic, chicken eggs, and goat meat. No more turkey eggs till next spring.
July 9-15, 2018
We've got cucumbers coming on strong (slicers and picklers). Trying to keep up with the fast growing okra. Lot's of cucumbers and okra this week. Bell peppers are coming on, spotted the first lunch box pepper.... they will be strong in a couple more weeks. Good jalapeños. Still plenty of beets and carrots. Green Beans are still here (to our surprise) and we'll keep bringing to market as long as they keep coming. First round of tomatoes are almost done but we are in the middle of planting for the fall tomato crop. Plenty of onions and garlic and eggs!
